I Stood Up for All of Us
After my boss called me and told me that he was upset about me telling people that they could get cheap health insurance outside of the company, I explained to him that we needed to do everything that we could to survive in the situation that we were in. Our wages had been cut because of the failing economy, and yet our boss still required that we purchase our insurance through the company that we are working for. The reality was that it was out of our budget. I told him that if he wanted to keep his employees, he would let us do what we needed to.
